Watching TV on Slingbox Can Be An Opportunity to Walk

sling-box-pro-hd-sb300.jpgInstead of being a couch potato . . . watch your tv while you walk.

To use our treadmill while we watched our favorite tv programs required a little high tech ingenuity. Our basement houses our treadmill and a cable tv with no DVR box.

Once you have had the convenience of watching shows on your own schedule and fast forwarding through commercials, it is hard to return to the dark ages with a cable box. We didn’t want to pay a monthly service to add a DVR to our downstairs tv so an excellent option was a Slingbox PRO-HD SB300-100.

We were introduced to the Slingbox when several friends oversees watch and control their parent’s DVR from thousands of miles away. Slingbox allows them to keep up with American sports teams and tv from other countries on their computer.

Don’t be chained to the physical location of your DVR

Slingbox takes your shows with you. Walk on your treadmill and watch TV on your laptop in rooms with no DVR. If you want to walk outdoors . . . your Slingbox, a 3g connection plus your iphone or ipad Slingbox app will allow you to multitask.

When not exercising, you can use the catch up on shows at your office, in waiting rooms, at Starbucks or even hotel rooms while travelling.

Let technology expand your horizons for watching tv while you walk.
