We had a beautiful weekend here in Georgia. It was so sunny there was not a cloud in the sky and the temperatures were in the high 60’s with a slight breeze. It was the kind of weekend where you celebrate just being alive.
Having a weekend like this makes going for a walk a joyful experience.
I was accompanied on my walk by the sounds of robins, blue birds and all types of other birds that seemed to be enjoying the beautiful weather as much as I was.
The colors were just beautiful with trees starting to flower, tulips decorating mail boxes, and gardens starting to pop with color. Purple, yellow, pink and red were everywhere. Even Jaycee had an extra spring in her step as she walked.
Walking isn’t only about your physical well-being it is also about your spiritual and emotional well-being. Enjoying nature, even when you are walking in a city or the suburbs can bring you happiness and make you forget that you are exercising to burn off the calories you consumed the night before.
Even though most of the country just barely experienced winter we can still appreciate spring and all the joy it brings. What better time to start a walking program than now?
