Several studies have shown that air pollution can increase our risk of having a heart attack or stroke after even a few hours of exposure.

Scientists have found that people exposed to high

Front Porch Atlanta Pollen

When someone refers to streets paved with “gold” you generally think gold bullion.  Here in Atlanta we think pollen.

Everything is covered in a thick coating of gold pollen.  If you sit down outside you have to wipe the pollen off your bottom before you go inside.  Set a glass of tea down outside and you will find a yellow ring around the rim of your glass and pollen floating in your drink.

Now my new obsession is  “The Walking Dead”

Authorities seem to take pleasure in barraging us with negative messages to scare us into compliance.  Law enforcement threatens us with penalties.  Drill sergeants delight in berating us.  Doctors warn us of horrible health consequences.  Teachers give us dentition.  Moms nag.  Gloom and doom fills our television air waves.

Move over wet blankets.
